For some of the most iconic wines in the world, a trip to Bordeaux is a must. The region is divided by the Gironde river, with the Left Bank producing wines dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, while the Right Bank features more Merlot-based blends. Along with the reds, great dry whites and sweet wines like Sauternes are also produced, making it a wine lover's paradise.
