Vinos del Viento is the brainchild of Michael Cooper, a native of Santa Barbara who made Spain his home in 2002 when he moved to the country to be with his Spanish wife, Rosario. Michael prides himself in being a “vine-hunter”- he has made it his mission to seek out high-altitude, old-vine, dry-farmed vineyards, which sometimes house century-old indigenous vines
Michael has always been an advocate for indigenous grapes. He pioneered in 2009 with his first monovarietal Cariñena grape wine in D.O. Cariñena being one of the few to appreciate the potential of this variety to make wines with great personality.
We ship wine to most states with a $100 minimum order for shipping. Shipments are sent on the next Monday if weather permits. We do not ship beer and spirits.
