Fonio is a Belgian-inspired Blonde Ale brewed by Russian River Brewing Company in a special "Brewing For Impact" collaboration with Brooklyn Brewery. This global initiative, spearheaded by brewmaster Garrett Oliver, explores the brewing characteristics of Fonio—an ancient, climate-resilient West African grain that promotes regenerative agriculture and supports smallholder farmers. The resulting brew features inviting aromas and tasting notes of fruit cocktail, fresh bread dough, and hints of spicy pepper, all culminating in a clean finish with a crisp, refreshing bitterness.
