Dirupi, nestled in Lombardia's Valtellina region, occupies a 16th-century building in Sondrio. Owners Pierpaolo Di Franco and Davide Fasolini, childhood friends from Sondrio, discovered their passion for winemaking here. After studying Enology at the University of Milan, they returned in 2004, sourcing 4.5ha from 18 ancient terraced vineyards across Valtellina. "Dirupi" derives its name from "crags" and "cliffs," reflecting the vineyards' challenging steep terrain. These ancient terraced plots are fortified by handcrafted stone walls, some dating back over 1,000 years. This 100% Nebbiolo is elegant, concentrated and over deliver for the money!
