The Doyard family traces their presence in the Cote des Blancs to the 17th century, and Yannick is the 12th generation to grow grapes here. This 100% Chardonnay is based on the 2013 vintage, with reserve wines from the 2012 and 2011 vintages rounding it out.
With time spent in used oak barrels, this champagne is going to show a bit more breadth of texture, with the mineral edge of the Cote des Blancs' chalk and limestone soils to keep it lifted.
