The Wine

Lelarge-Pugeot x Super Glou Millésimé 2009 is a triumph of patience and craftsmanship, showcasing the 2009 vintage with remarkable clarity and depth. Composed of equal parts Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier, this wine underwent spontaneous fermentation and six months in stainless steel before an extraordinary 14 years of lees aging. The result is a sparkling wine of finesse and complexity. Aromas of Meyer lemon, quince, and toasted Marcona almond lead into a palate that is both creamy and briny, with a silky mousse and a persistent mineral core. The absence of dosage (0 g/L) highlights its pure, vibrant character, while the long lees aging contributes layers of texture and nuance.
