The Land:

Bolgheri, one of Tuscany’s most prestigious wine regions, is defined by its coastal influence, alluvial soils, and a warm Mediterranean climate. The combination of clay, sand, and gravel creates wines with both richness and vibrancy. Consistently tempered by sea breezes, the vineyards allow for optimal ripening while maintaining freshness, giving Bolgheri wines their signature balance of power and elegance.

The Wine:

A blend of 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Sangiovese, Rosso di Orma offers a fresher, more approachable take on Bolgheri’s terroir. Fermented in stainless steel and aged briefly in French oak barriques, it delivers immediate drinkability while retaining structure. The wine opens with bright red fruit aromas—cherry, morello cherry, and wild berries—layered with subtle notes of underbrush. On the palate, it is soft, fresh, and vibrant, with well-integrated tannins and a lively acidity that makes it versatile at the table.

The People:

Created in 2019 by Stefano Frascolla, Rosso di Orma reflects a modern, accessible interpretation of Bolgheri. Orma’s philosophy embraces both tradition and innovation, producing wines that express the region’s character with precision and elegance. This second wine of the estate is designed for early enjoyment while still showcasing the finesse and depth that define Bolgheri.

Tuscany, Italy is home to some of the world's most famous wines, including Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino. The Sangiovese grape is the star of the region, creating bold and structured wines with notes of cherry and leather. In addition to the traditional wines, Tuscany is also known for its "Super Tuscans" - modern blends that incorporate non-traditional grapes and are often made along the coast.
