The Land
The Walla Walla Valley, an American Viticultural Area (AVA) located in Southeastern Washington, is characterized by a continental climate with warm days and cool nights. This unique terroir, nestled amidst the vast sagebrush desert, benefits from abundant sunshine and irrigation provided by the numerous rivers and aquifers that give the valley its name. This Picpoul is from two distinct vineyards within the Walla Walla Valley nestled in the Blue Mountains: Los Oidos and Les Collines. The Los Oidos Vineyard.

The Wine
This Picpoul is a vibrant expression of the variety, showcasing the refreshing acidity and zesty fruit flavors that define this grape. Made from 100% Picpoul grapes, the wine underwent cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve its vibrant character. The wine was aged in stainless steel for five months, resulting in a clean and refreshing expression of the fruit. On the nose, the wine displays a vibrant aroma of lemon, lime, tarragon, tangerine and peach, complemented by subtle notes of white flowers, chalky soil, and wet stone minerality. On the palate, the wine is light and lean with a vibrant acidity that invites you for more.

The People
Gramercy Cellars, founded by sommelier Greg Harrington in 2005, is a result of his passion for Washington State wines. Inspired by the unique terroir of the Walla Walla Valley, Harrington established the winery with a focus on minimal intervention winemaking and a deep respect for the land. The winery sources grapes from carefully selected vineyards, with a strong emphasis on organic viticultural practices. This dedication to quality and terroir expression has resulted in wines that are considered among the finest in Washington State.

Walla Walla Valley is a renowned wine region located along the border of Washington and Oregon, known for producing exceptional Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Winemaking here began in earnest with the founding of Leonetti Cellar in 1977, the valley’s first commercial winery. The region's diverse geography ranges from higher elevations near the Blue Mountains, with cooler temperatures and greater rainfall, to warmer, drier areas on the valley floor. Cayuse Vineyards played a major role in highlighting the distinctive Rocks District of Milton-Freewater subregion, famed for its rocky, cobblestone soils ideal for Syrah. Today, Walla Walla Valley is celebrated for complex, flavorful wines shaped by this wide variety of climates and soils.
