  • Land: The Gurrieri estate, located near the town of Chiaramonte Gulfi in the province of Ragusa, Sicily, thrives in the shadow of the Iblei Mountains. The estate covers 3.2 hectares of family-owned land plus an additional 3 hectares of rented land. The calcareous soil in this region enriches the grapes, while the Mediterranean climate, marked by significant temperature variations between day and night, imparts strength, vigor, and distinctive aromas to the wines. This area is also notable for being part of the Val di Noto, near Sicily's only DOCG, Cerasuolo di Vittoria.
  • Wine:  Cultivated organically and harvested by hand in two stages to ensure optimal ripeness, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented with indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. This meticulous process results in a wine that embodies freshness and aromatic complexity, with notes of citrus, apple, and herbs. After spending about nine months in tanks, the wine is bottled, presenting itself as a vibrant, straw-colored white with green tints, perfect as an aperitif or paired with seafood and poultry dishes.
  • People: Giovanni Gurrieri and his family maintain a deep-rooted connection to their land and a respect for traditional practices, combined with a forward-thinking approach to winemaking. Giovanni, along with his wife Angela, took over from his parents, Vincenzo and Graziella, continuing the family’s legacy of grape and olive oil production. Today, they are known for producing compelling examples of Sicily's native varietals, including Nero d’Avola, Frappato, and Grillo, each reflecting the distinct identity of their land.
