pFriem Brewery's New Year Cuvée is a special blend of golden saisons laid to rest in neutral French oak barrels before aging on Columbia Gorge-grown Rainier cherries. This 2023 vintage spent one year in the barrel and an additional year conditioning in our Denver Wine Merchant offsite, cellar temp facility to fully develop its complexity. It is a sophisticated and celebratory treat designed to wrap up the year with gratitude and good cheer.
Food Pairings: This complex barrel-aged Saison pairs nicely with the savory richness of roasted duck breast with a cherry glaze, the tart fruit notes cutting through the fat while the oak adds structure. The stone fruit flavors also go well with a dark chocolate truffle or black forest cake. For a savory option, try a creamy Brie or Camembert cheese with crusty bread.
