The Land:

Sourced from select vineyard sites across the Côte de Beaune, this Bourgogne Blanc reflects the limestone-rich soils and cool climate that define the region. While technically a regional designation, the fruit comes from vineyards near Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny, bringing structure and mineral drive. The combination of clay and limestone allows Chardonnay to express both freshness and depth, with natural acidity balancing the ripe fruit of the warm 2022 vintage.

The Wine:

Fermented with native yeast and aged in a mix of used oak barrels, this is a Bourgogne Blanc with serious pedigree. The wine is vibrant and precise, showing citrus zest, white flowers, and a subtle saline edge. A gentle touch of oak adds texture without overshadowing the mineral backbone. Expect tension and clarity, with a finish that lingers well beyond its humble classification. This is unmistakably Côte de Beaune Chardonnay—pure, balanced, and energetic.

The People:

Simon Colin may be a new name, but his roots in Chassagne-Montrachet run deep. As the son of Philippe Colin and nephew of Bruno, he carries the legacy of one of Burgundy’s great winemaking families. Before taking over his father’s vineyards, Simon honed his skills at Domaine Etienne Sauzet and gained experience in South Africa and Oregon. With his first solo vintage in 2017, he has quickly established himself as a meticulous vigneron, blending Burgundian tradition with a fresh, precise approach. This Bourgogne Blanc is a glimpse into what’s to come—serious winemaking at an incredible value.
