Aldo Conterno "Il Favot" Langhe Nebbiolo 2019

$44.00

We have 19 in stock (Inventory is live and accurate)

Aldo is the blacksheep Conterno who broke away from his father Giacomo's winery back in the day. At the time he was into a more modern style of Barolo, but nowadays the style is largely traditional albeit with a sexy modern touch. The top wine, the Granbussia, goes for close to dime these days, but this humble little nebby with essentially the same sourcing gives the drinker a taste of that for much less. Younger vines and limited skin contact to extract fewer tannins create a well-colored wine with remarkable softness. No cellaring (or saving) required. Drink this juicy baby now.

Nested in northwestern Italy, Piedmont is a region that oozes with charm and allure. Home to some of the world’s most highly regarded wines like Barolo and Barbaresco, Piedmont is a treasure trove of wine delights. The hilly region is planted to a host of local grapes, but it’s the noble Nebbiolo which takes center stage.

Piedmont

Nebbiolo, a prestigious grape from Italy's Piedmont region, is celebrated for its profound truffle and rose aromas, complex flavors, and ability to age gracefully thanks to strong acidity and tannins, producing the renowned Barolo and Barbaresco wines.
