This south-west facing plot benefits from optimal sunlight for ripening and features soft, sandy soils that enhance drainage and contribute to the wine's aromatic profile and fruitiness, a notable distinction in a region where Dolcetto often takes a backseat to Nebbiolo.
- Wine: The 2022 Dolcetto d'Alba is a reflection of Brezza's thoughtful approach to winemaking. After destemming, the grapes undergo a seven-day skin fermentation, followed by an eight-month aging period in concrete tanks. This process, coupled with an additional few months of bottle aging before release, results in a wine that balances freshness with complexity.
- People: Under the guidance of Enzo Brezza, the fourth generation steward of the estate, Brezza has maintained its reputation for producing traditional Barolo and other varietals with a timeless elegance. Since his first vintage in 1989, Enzo has not only upheld the family's winemaking traditions but also embraced organic practices and innovative viticulture to enhance the health of their vineyards and the quality of their wines.
