Piedmont Immersive Trip 2026
May 17-23, 2026.
Experience Piedmont at its most intimate and immersive. This weeklong journey is built for travelers who want more than a tour—they want connection: to the land, to the wines, and to the people who shape them. Guests stay in a hillside villa in the town of Barolo, each with fully private double-occupancy rooms and en-suite bathrooms. Evenings bring chef-prepared dinners, thoughtfully curated tastings, and time to explore the region’s most storied villages. Expect mornings that unfold softly, producer visits chosen for both authenticity and acclaim, and nights in the Ballroom sharing bottles that rarely leave Italy. From wandering the medieval lanes of Barolo and Monforte to discovering Piedmont’s lesser-known grapes, this trip blends education, pleasure, and genuine hospitality. It’s designed for wine lovers who want depth without pretension, comfort without detachment, and access to a side of Piedmont most travelers never experience.

Frequently asked questions
- 6 night stay in Barolo (double occupancy) at an incredible, newly renovated mansion right in town.
- 5 dinners - all of which are 3 course with wine pairings. And not just any wine, we'll source the best Piedmont bottles we can hunt down for the entire week.
- Loads of Great Wine - you will not go thirsty.
- Professional Chef - we are flying over Chef Adam who we both worked with at a Piemontese restaurant in Portland, Oregon. When we say Chef Adam knows Piedmont food, we mean that in the strongest way possible. He makes incredible pasta & everything else.
- Producer visits - at least one producer visit per day and any fees will be covered by us. Expect to get into otherwise impossible to visit producers, too.
- Lunches - 2 lunches throughout the week will be included
- Breakfast - breakfast all 6 mornings is on the house. Dinners will be heavy so think lighter like yogurt & granola, soft boiled eggs, and triple cream cheese.
- Negroni Bar - we'll set up a legit Negroni bar with low alc & non alc variations available every afternoon of the vacation.
- Transportation - to and from the airport and the rest of the week. You shouldn't have to pay for a single uber; we'll have 3 cars to cover every one.
- Wine Classes & Knowledge - formal, planned classes throughout the week and practically unlimited access to multiple sommeliers to deep dive in Piedmont knowledge.
- The Trip of a Lifetime - lifelong bragging rights about the epic producers you visited, the incredible wine dinners at the mansion, and the friends you made along the way.
- Round Trip Airfare - meet us at MXP on Sunday, May 17. How you get there is on you, but we recommend landing a day before to un-jetlag before the pickup at noon. We'll be driving straight to Gattinara for lunch from there.
- 4 Lunches - we've picked 4 villages to drop the group off for lunch on days without a group lunch. More info will be available 2 months before. Reserve a 3 michelin star place or pick up street food and wonder the village - totally up to you.
- Insurance - we aren't providing any form of insurance, but we are taking every precaution we can to make sure it won't be a problem.
- Bottles you buy to drink at the mansion or bring home to the States.
The dinners at the villa are one of the main attractions on this trip. Chef Adam will be preparing 3 courses per night, always featuring an appetizer and main with multiple wines to pair, and rotating the 3rd course between dessert and cheese.
A significant part of our budget will go towards food, and especially wine. Expect to have bottles in the 3 digit $ range nightly. The equivalent wine and food at restaurants would be many hundreds of $ per person per night, so this is where the value in the trip really lies.
Imagine an hour or two of free time each early evening with access to the self-serve negroni bar before sitting down as a group and being treated to full service meals with 5 sommeliers and 2 chefs. That's what we're doing.
Our entire trip budget is based on double occupancy rooms, so unfortunately we can't offer single occupancy at a significant discount as we'd need to raise the price for everyone else. However, if anyone does want to commit to this it will cost the same as 2 people minus $500.
Valid point, but it's simple. The venue is a lot more expensive and so are the car rentals. And we are flying over professional chef along with sous chef, Rob. Also the Euro is crushing us.
We are renting the entire villa of Asilo Lux Apartments in Barolo. More info can be found on their website: www.asiloinbarolo.com
We'll release 2 different products on this page depending on the room you prefer. The Penthouse Rooms and the Superior Garden room will be one product under Penthouse/Superior Room. The other 2 rooms will be a separate "Standard Room" product. After the deposits are made we will ask for preferences, and if multiple groups want the same room we will randomly choose among superior and standard.
All 5 tickets will go on sale on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at 6pm MST. The products will be available at the bottom of this page. Each will be a $200 deposit towards 1 double occupancy room.
Pay in full by April 5, 2026, 6 weeks before the journey begins. Check or cash is preferred, and credit card payments will be charged processing fees of 2.5%
After securing your room we recommend booking flights fairly quickly.
Arrival: Please arrive before 12:30pm on May 17th. We will pick everyone up from MXP at that time or earlier if it works out. We recommend landing on the 16th and spending one night in Milan or near the airport so you have energy on day 1 of the trip which includes a lunch in Gattinara.
Departure: Please book a flight out after 12:00pm on May 23th. We'll drive everyone to the airport that morning, and if anyone prefers to extend their trip that is fine, but we can't guarantee transportation to your next lodging directly.
Can We fly into Turino? Possibly - MXP has more flights, but we will work the logistics out once the trip is fully booked.
No, it will be much greater.
