Moschofilero
Moschofilero is a pink-skinned Greek grape grown on the high plateau of Mantinia in the Peloponnese. Despite its colored skin it is made mostly as a white wine, pale and intensely aromatic, with rose petal, citrus blossom, lychee and spice over crisp acidity, and a low alcohol that keeps it light on its feet. It also makes rosé, sparkling and the occasional skin-contact wine. The cool, elevated vineyards of Mantinia are what keep Moschofilero fresh; it is one of the best Greek whites for aperitif drinking and for herb-driven and lightly spiced food.
